Kemmler DIN 6357 holders are used on CNC milling machines and machining centers equipped with SK 30, SK 40, and SK 50 spindles according to ISO 7388-1 (DIN 69871). Engineered for clamping face mill heads, shell mills, and disc cutters featuring transverse drive slots. The primary application is high-performance face milling of structural components requiring high joint rigidity and effective heat dissipation via face coolant channels.

Design and Features

A key structural feature of DIN 6357 arbors is an enlarged contact face diameter (BD), providing maximum seating area for the cutter face and preventing deformation or vibration during heavy roughing operations. The contact face features coolant exit holes directing cutting fluid straight to the cutter inserts (SK 30 execution is delivered without face coolant holes). For large-diameter face mill heads (pilot Ø 40 mm and Ø 60 mm), four additional threaded holes are provided per DIN 2079. Torque transmission is carried out via drive keys (Mitnehmersteine). Radial runout is ≤ 5 µm, and dynamic balancing complies with G 2.5 at 25,000 rpm. Includes a pre-drilled bore for an RFID chip.

Compatibility

Tooling is compatible with machine spindles featuring SK 30, SK 40, and SK 50 tapers (ISO 7388-1 / DIN 69871). Designed for shell milling cutters and face mill heads with bore diameters per DIN 6357 (16, 22, 27, 32, 40, and 60 mm). Mounting in the machine spindle is performed using pull studs per ISO 7388-3 (DIN 69872).

Selection Parameters

Gage lengths LF include short standard executions (35–50 mm) and extended versions (100, 130, 160, 200 mm).
