Welded steel plate bed

The Bodor Laser machine bed is a fully welded structure with machined reference surfaces. This design provides rigidity and resistance to vibration during operation.

Aluminum gantry

The closed-section aluminum gantry combines rigidity with low weight. This allows high accelerations, increasing productivity without compromising positioning accuracy.

Bodor Genius cutting head

The head features automatic focusing: the CNC sets the focal position according to the parameters for the specific material and sheet thickness, including separate settings for piercing and cutting.

Built-in water cooling circuits keep the head components at a stable temperature and protect the optics from overheating. Protective windows are consumables and require regular inspection and replacement.

Motion system

The axes are driven by servo motors via a rack-and-pinion transmission.

HIWIN linear guides provide smooth, low-friction motion with high rigidity and load capacity in all load directions.

Maximum linkage speed (rapid traverse) — up to 100 m/min. Cutting speed depends on the material, thickness and laser power.

Laser source

In this configuration, the machine is equipped with a Maxphotonics 3000 W fiber laser source.

The source is suitable for cutting carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum. The ability to cut copper and brass, and the maximum thickness, depend on the source's back-reflection protection — please check the configuration specification.

Software

Bodor software calculates the cutting plan, supports common graphic formats and automatically detects the sheet edge.

Nesting optimization helps improve material utilization and reduce scrap.

Automatic lubrication system

The system delivers metered lubricant at set intervals, monitors the oil level and triggers an alarm in case of a fault. This helps maintain machine accuracy and extends the service life of the guides and rack-and-pinion drive.

Cooling system

The S&A fiber laser chiller has two cooling circuits, cooling the laser source and the cutting head simultaneously.

Cooling type: compressor-based. Supply voltage: 380 V.

Coolant and freeze-protection requirements are specified in the chiller and laser source manuals.

Taitog fume extraction system

The extraction system with a centrifugal fan removes smoke and dust from the cutting zone.

Filtration and exhaust air discharge should be provided in accordance with the ventilation requirements for the production facility.
