The Bodor Aqu series comprises 1500, 2000 and 3000 W handheld laser welding machines with an in-house Bodor laser source.

Higher welding speed

When welding thin sheets up to 3 mm thick, the welding speed is approximately twice that of MIG and TIG welding.

According to the manufacturer, compared with similar 1500 W machines under identical conditions, the welding speed for 1 mm sheet is 190 cm/min, and overall welding productivity is 20% higher.

Penetration depth

Depending on machine power, the maximum penetration depth is 5 mm (1500 W), 6 mm (2000 W) and 8 mm (3000 W). Actual depth depends on the material, joint type and welding parameters.

Weld quality

Full power makes it possible to combine ultra-thin sheet welding and spot welding, producing smooth, neat and visually appealing welds.

According to the manufacturer, welded joints produced with the Aqu have been tested for bend strength, hardness and tensile strength in an accredited laboratory (CNAS).

Cooling and control system

• Self-cooling without a water tank. Unlike machines with external water cooling, the Aqu has a built-in compressor-based cooling system and does not require a separate chiller with a tank.
• Stable temperature. Intelligent control and efficient heat dissipation keep the core components at a stable temperature regardless of ambient fluctuations (operating range −20…+40 °C).
• Dual-core control board improves system stability and, according to the manufacturer, enables round-the-clock operation.

User-friendly interface

Intuitive rotary knob control makes setting parameters and saving process settings easy, even for beginners.

Interchangeable torch nozzles

The Bodor Aqu comes with dedicated nozzles for welding, cutting and cleaning. Different nozzle combinations allow the machine to be adapted to various applications.

Automation integration

Reserved external I/O control interfaces allow the Aqu to be connected to automation equipment according to production needs.

Laser cleaning

• Cleaning width up to 300 mm, adjustable.
• The non-contact process with no mechanical action or chemical solvents preserves the integrity of the base material when the correct parameters are used.
• The absence of chemicals reduces environmental pollution and wastewater treatment costs.

Cost efficiency

According to the manufacturer, a single Aqu machine can save:

• up to 25% on consumables — by using nitrogen instead of argon where the process allows;
• up to 50% on labor costs — thanks to less weld grinding;
• welder training time — laser welding is quicker to learn than TIG.
